MULTIMA LC

Can filling as a coordinated process.

MULTIMA LC is a rotary counter-pressure can filler with 12, 18, 24 or 30 filling stations. Before the can docks with the valve, the long filling tube introduces CO₂ to displace air. The can is not evacuated by vacuum. A CO₂ tunnel and bubble breaker can limit contact with ambient air on the way to the seamer. Can format, seaming technology and the complete line are specified together.

Calculated indicative range across machine sizes and 0.33/0.50 L containers: 50–105% of nominal output, rounded inwards to the nearest 100 cans/h. The table shows nominal outputs by size. Actual output depends on product, container and the complete line.

01

Feed the cans

Can format and infeed are matched to the selected machine.

02

Fill and transfer

The can is filled and transferred to the seamer, with CO₂ management included in planning.

03

Form the seam

The selected seamer joins the can and lid before the container moves to outfeed.

OUTPUT DATA

Output by machine size.

Nominal outputs for Pilsner at 4 °C and 5.6 g CO₂/L, using containers suitable for MULTIMA LC and the selected configuration.

Net output of the complete line also depends on infeed, discharge, closing equipment and other operations. We agree the operating conditions and exact configuration together.

MULTIMA LC – example configuration

Example configuration. Equipment and arrangement are defined for your project.

01Mechanical filling valve
Mechanical filling valve

The long filling tube first enters the can. Before the can docks with the valve, CO₂ flows through the tube and displaces the air inside. Unlike bottle filling, vacuum pre-evacuation is not used, because negative pressure would collapse the can. Counter-pressure filling follows.

02CO₂ tunnel
CO₂ tunnel

Open cans travel through a CO₂-supplied area between the filler and seamer. This helps limit contact between the product and ambient air.

03Bubble breaker
Bubble breaker

A directed CO₂ jet removes the upper foam layer before seaming. Settings are coordinated with fill height and the product’s foaming behaviour.

04Can stop
Can stop

During a normal stop, the can stop prevents further containers from entering, allowing cans already in the machine to complete the intended process.

05Carousel spraying
Carousel spraying

Carousel spraying helps remove product residues in the machine area. It complements the cleaning procedures agreed for the system.

06Hygienic frame design
Hygienic frame design

The base frame reduces horizontal surfaces so water and product residues can drain more easily. Its open construction supports access for cleaning and routine care.

YOUR CONFIGURATION

Configured for your production.

Four sizes

12, 18, 24 or 30 filling valves provide different configurations.

Seaming technology

The can, lid and seamer combination is selected together.

Line planning

Can supply, cleaning and downstream operations are included in the plan.

For the first discussion, tell us your drink, container, required output and available space. After discussing an indicative budget, we agree the scope for a quotation.

Cleaning and support in operation.

CIP-capable and suitable for steaming

Cleaning in Place means cleaning without dismantling components for the CIP process. This also applies to INVASA and CANVASA. Heat-resistant peroxide-cured EPDM seals allow steaming. We agree the cleaning agents, temperature and procedure for your configuration.

Remote access: you make the connection

For several years, our machines have been supplied with a modem in the control cabinet. Your LAN internet connection enables access through a gateway to our service team. Without that connection, external remote access through the modem is not possible. Telephone and video support are separate ways of helping you.
